Who I am at work

The highpoint of my career has been supporting the office of Sheriff David Robinson and working with him to keep Kings County safe. Upon my promotion in 2011, Sheriff Robinson immediately tasked me with several extremely complicated and challenging projects. Here are a few of those accomplished projects:

1.

Lead the AB900 Phase II grant application process, which resulted in $33,000,000 for jail expansion of 252 beds, 12-bed medical unit, dentist station, medical exam rooms, and warehouse storage spaces.

2.

Lead the $2,500,000 morgue construction project.

3.

Lead the SB1022 grant application process, which resulted in $20,000,000 for additional jail expansion of 24 mental health beds, additional programing spaces, teaching kitchen, and additional warehouse space.

4.

Lead the Tobacco Grant application process, which resulted in $700,777. This primarily provided for more education for our youth.

5.

Lead the construction and safety protocols of the security portions of the newly constructed Kings County Superior Court building.

6.

Lead the construction of the $3,000,000 jail transfer tunnel project to the newly constructed Kings County Superior Court building.

7.

Helped Sheriff Robinson design and advocate for our new Sheriff headquarters building, over $7,000,000.

8.

Lead our team in dealing with the consequences of AB109, Prop 47 and Prop 57, which mandated prisoners be held locally rather than in state prisons. We were able to successfully accommodate the rise in our inmate population from 300 inmates to over 600 inmates.
